Lack of education, awareness, and distance from primary health care centers are the major reasons that the urban dwellers suffer from adverse health conditions other than this Scarcity of good doctors and the cost of treatment has been a matter of constant worry for the poor. Healthcare for the underprivileged, which is a desperate need, thus remains unaddressed. To address this big basic social issue OFINS has initiated health program, Homeopathy Health Centre in different inaccessible areas.

During these camps, medical professionals offer free consultations to both children and elderly individuals, addressing their health concerns with care and expertise. They also conduct informative sessions on disease prevention, health, and hygiene, aiming to raise awareness among children and their parents.
Basic health check-ups, including measurements of height, weight, and blood pressure, are carried out, along with other necessary tests. Free medicines are distributed to treat common ailments like diarrhea, skin itching, colds, coughs, and various seasonal illnesses.
Through these efforts, our health camps not only provide immediate medical assistance but also educate the community about maintaining better health practices, contributing to the overall well-being of underprivileged families.

Our mobile dispensary initiative aims to deliver essential healthcare services to people living in remote and underserved areas. Operating on a regular, door-to-door basis, this service is specifically designed to support economically weaker communities that lack access to medical facilities.
Equipped with a dedicated team of doctors, support staff, and a stock of essential medicines, the mobile dispensary was launched during the first phase of the COVID-19 lockdown when private clinics were closed, and transportation was virtually unavailable. At a time when regular healthcare services were out of reach, this initiative provided a critical lifeline to those in need.
Residents can consult with doctors directly and receive prescribed medicines at no cost, right at their doorstep. This service not only offers immediate medical attention but also ensures continuous health support for communities that face barriers to traditional healthcare, making a significant impact on their well-being during times of crisis and beyond.

The global incidence of dengue has surged significantly in recent years. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 390 million cases of dengue fever occur annually, with 96 million requiring medical treatment. In India, dengue cases doubled between 2014 and 2015, with Delhi recording over 1,800 cases, and the virus continued to spread rapidly across the country, including West Bengal, from 2016 to 2018.
Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease transmitted primarily by the female Aedes aegypti mosquito. Its widespread impact has become a major public health concern, affecting millions of lives.
To combat this threat, our Dengue Awareness Drive focuses on educating communities about preventive measures, early detection, and effective control strategies. By raising awareness, we aim to reduce the incidence of this potentially life-threatening disease and empower people with the knowledge to protect themselves and their families from its spread, contributing to healthier and safer communities.

Nutrition & Hygiene
"Prevention is better than cure." With this in mind, OFINS launched a Nutrition and Hygiene awareness program to educate rural communities about the importance of adopting healthy habits. By practicing basic hygiene and proper nutrition, individuals can significantly reduce the risk of falling ill.
Our hygiene initiative addresses personal care, vaccination, illness prevention, and overall health. We have organized various activities in schools to teach children the importance of handwashing, dental care, and the role of sports and daily exercise in maintaining good health.
Additionally, we conduct door-to-door campaigns to spread these messages across rural areas. Malnutrition remains a serious issue among village children, preventing them from reaching their full physical and mental potential due to factors like geographical challenges, limited resources, and financial constraints. Our initiative aims to raise awareness and educate communities on how to combat malnutrition effectively, empowering them to secure a healthier and brighter future for their children.
